{"id":1037,"date":"2026-09-06T03:04:14","date_gmt":"2026-09-05T18:04:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/akikomartinache.com\/?post_type=gallery&#038;p=1037"},"modified":"2026-09-06T03:05:50","modified_gmt":"2026-09-05T18:05:50","slug":"inner-galaxy-plumeria","status":"publish","type":"gallery","link":"https:\/\/akikomartinache.com\/en\/gallery\/inner-galaxy-plumeria\/","title":{"rendered":"The inner galaxy: Plumeria"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Plumeria<\/p>\n<p>Beneath the Starry Sky<\/p>\n<p>SOLD OUT \u2014 Thank you very much for giving this piece a new home.<\/p>\n<p>Beneath the starry sky,<br \/>\nthe wind was gently blowing.<\/p>\n<p>The universe,<br \/>\nnature,<br \/>\nand humanity\u2014<\/p>\n<p>their beautiful union.<\/p>\n<p>I spent twelve years in Hawaii,<br \/>\nfrom my twenties into my thirties.<\/p>\n<p>Near K\u012blauea Volcano,<br \/>\nI danced the ancient form of hula, Hula Kahiko,<br \/>\nto return to the forest the plants<br \/>\nthat had been lent to us by the gods.<\/p>\n<p>Under a sky filled with countless stars,<br \/>\nfeeling the earth beneath my feet,<br \/>\nfeeling the wind,<br \/>\nand dancing together with the plants,<\/p>\n<p>I felt myself becoming a part of nature,<br \/>\nas though I were becoming one<br \/>\nwith the universe.<\/p>\n<p>The feeling I experienced at that moment<br \/>\nhas remained with me to this day.<\/p>\n<p>What Hawaii taught me was<br \/>\nto cherish the heart,<br \/>\nto accept our differences,<br \/>\nto continue to respect one another,<br \/>\nand above all,<br \/>\nNo one left behind \u2014 no one is left behind.<\/p>\n<p>In the \u201cAloha\u201d I experienced in Hawaii,<br \/>\nI felt a spirit of connection\u2014<br \/>\nbetween people,<br \/>\nand between people and nature\u2014<br \/>\na spirit of caring for and respecting one another.<\/p>\n<p>The spirit of Aloha that I received in Hawaii,<br \/>\nand the memory of that night<br \/>\nwhen I felt as though I were merging with the universe\u2014<\/p>\n<p>those memories became this work of Plumeria.<\/p>\n<p>This piece, too, has found its new home.<\/p>\n<p>I hope that, in its new place,<br \/>\nthis flower will continue to bloom quietly,<br \/>\nand that it will bring<br \/>\na gentle breeze<br \/>\nto someone\u2019s heart.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":925,"template":"","gallery_type":[13],"class_list":["post-1037","gallery","type-gallery","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","gallery_type-illustrations","en-US"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/akikomartinache.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/gallery\/1037","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/akikomartinache.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/gallery"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/akikomartinache.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/gallery"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/akikomartinache.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/925"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/akikomartinache.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=1037"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"gallery_type","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/akikomartinache.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/gallery_type?post=1037"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
